Change Stats Settings For a Site

To change / modify the stats settings, stats should be enabled on the site first. All the sites, on which stats are enabled, are listed in Stats Manager interface.

To change stats on a site:

1. Login into control panel.

2. Click on the Statistics option, present in left frame, Stats Manager interface will be displayed.

3. In Stats Manager interface, click on the site for which you want to change / update the settings, the Stats Update interface will be displayed.

4. Stats Update interface will allow to change the following settings.

• Log File Format: By default, the log file format is automatically detected, but you can select the format from the list.

• Log Path (required): Appropriate log file path is detected automatically, use Browse button to change the log file path.

• Log Scan:  Define the default schedule for updating reports, enter the time for the report to be generated.

• Default Account (name): Select the account name for which stats are created. When user tries to view the stats report for the site, the LiveStats asks for login information, the account selected here will be given as login.

• Home Pages: Specify the file names that the web server defaults to when a visitor enters a URL without a specific file name. Separate multiple file names with spaces. You can enter up to 255 characters. Doing so reports all references to the home page whether or not the visitor specifically included the file name, making the home page hit count more accurate.
  
  For example, if you specified your Home Page File Names as default.htm and the Web Site URL as http://www.WebTrends.com, a hit to http://www.WebTrends.com/ is identified as http://www.WebTrends.com/default.htm.  A hit to http://www.WebTrends.com/reports/ is identified as a hit to http://www.WebTrends .com/reports/default.htm

• Exclude IP's: Exclude these IPs from log.

• Suspend: Suspend the stats generation for the site.

4. Click on Submit button to submit the changes.
