Hosting Controller provides an interface to create a subweb and extend it with the FrontPage Server Extensions, or delete (merge) a subweb, you delete all of its contents, files, folders, and nested subwebs, as well as remove its FrontPage Server Extensions. You cannot undelete a subweb.
To create a subweb:
Login into control panel.
Click on the FrontPage option, present in left frame, new contents will be loaded into left frame. Click Create / Merge Subweb option present at the top of left frame.
In the interface displayed, enter the following information
Create or Merge: From the Create or Merge select box, select Create.
Virtual Host Name: This select box shows the listing of websites for the logged in user, select the website name for which you want to create subweb. Each level user will see the websites according to the following criteria
Host level: Existing websites on the server, where HC is installed.
Reseller level: Websites created by him.
Web admin level: Websites created for him, by his owner reseller.
Port No: Provide the port number of the virtual server in which you are creating the subweb.
Web Name: Provide the name of the Subweb, to be created. This should be the path to the subweb's top-level directory, from the server’s top-level directory.
Administrator Account User Name: This select box lists name of user currently logged on, and the users created by him. Selected user will have unique permissions with an initial administrator account for the subweb.
Click on Create / Merge button to create the subweb.
To merge a subweb:
Login into control panel.
Click on the FrontPage option, present in left frame, new contents will be loaded into left frame. Click Create / Merge Subweb option present at the top of left frame.
In the interface displayed, enter the following information
Create or Merge: From the Create or Merge select box, select Merge.
Virtual Host Name: This select box shows the listing of websites for the logged in user, select the website name from which you want to remove / merge subweb. Each level user will see the websites according to the following criteria
Host level: Existing websites on the server, where HC is installed.
Reseller level: Websites created by him.
Web admin level: Websites created for him, by his owner reseller.
Port No: Provide the port number of the virtual server from which you are removing the subweb.
Web Name: Provide the name of the Subweb, to be deleted. This should be the path to the subweb's top-level directory, from the server’s top-level directory.
Administrator Account User Name: This select box lists name of user currently logged on, and the users created by him. Selected user who has the permissions on the subweb.
Click on Create / Merge button to delete the subweb.
